points = picas × 12. 1 pica = 1/6 in = 12 pt (PostScript).
A PostScript pica is 12 points, and a point is 1/72 in. Six picas make an inch. InDesign’s “p6” is this pica. CSS px is a different conversation — use points to pixels if the output is a screen.
pica → pt
12 pt
1 pica = 12 pt. 6 picas = 72 pt = 1 in. A 12-pica column is 2 in.

US height, ceiling height, and lumber still arrive in feet. Meter plans do not. One foot is exactly 0.3048 m — not “about a third.” Use this when a listing says 10 ft ceilings and the architect works in meters.

Very usable on mobile. Would love a save/export option later, but the math feels solid.
