- Megabytes to GigabytesDrive makers sell decimal GB (1,000 MB = 1 GB). Windows often shows GiB (1,024³). A “500 GB” disk showing 465 GB is not broken — it is two dictionaries. This page uses SI decimal: divide MB by 1,000.
